Privacy Policy
Tomatito is made by moonclub (moonclub.dev). It has no user accounts. Your family's data lives on your iPhone and in your own iCloud; a few features use our server or an AI provider, as explained below.
On your device and your iCloud
Names you save, the family tree, milestones (with their photos and audio), pregnancy and growth data, and your settings are stored on your iPhone. If you use iCloud, they sync to your private iCloud database, which we can't access. When you share with family, the people you invite can see the shared data through iCloud.
Our server
- Content such as name lists, tips and week-by-week information is downloaded from our server; downloading it doesn't send personal data.
- Name votes: when you create a vote, our server stores its title, the candidate names and the votes, with an anonymous voter identifier and any optional comment.
- Tomatito Premium: to check your subscription and limit usage, the server receives Apple's transaction identifier for your purchase. It doesn't receive your name or Apple Account.
AI features (Tomatito Premium)
When you use them, the details you enter are sent through our server to an AI provider (OpenAI; we may use Anthropic instead) to generate the answer: for a bedtime story, your child's first name, age in months and your request; for name suggestions, the surname, sibling names, preferred styles, cultural background and notes you provide. We don't keep these requests. The providers process them under their own privacy policies. If you don't use these features, nothing is sent.
Permissions
- Camera and microphone: to add photos and audio to milestones.
- Speech recognition: processed on your device.
- Local network and Bluetooth: to share with nearby family devices.
- Notifications: reminders for milestones, vaccines, birthdays and bedtime stories, scheduled on your device.
What we don't do
No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and we don't sell or share data with anyone else.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
Children
Tomatito is used by parents and family. It stores information about the baby (name, birth date, photos, audio and milestones) on your device and iCloud. The child's first name and age are only sent to the AI provider if you create a bedtime story.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone; you can remove the iCloud copy in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage storage. To delete a vote stored on our server, write to support@moonclub.dev.
